How we test

Every product we recommend is bought at retail and used for long enough to find the failures that do not show up in a week. We have tested 21 products to date. Where a manufacturer sends something unsolicited we say so in the review, and it is never given a ranking advantage.

How we rank

Scores are relative to price bracket, not absolute. A product scoring 9 at ₹5,000 is not being compared to one scoring 8 at ₹50,000. Rankings are rebuilt when a new product beats an existing pick, not on a schedule, and the date at the top of each article tells you when that last happened.

How we pay for this

Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we earn a commission if you buy through them at no extra cost to you. Commission never influences a ranking, and we link to retailers we have no relationship with when they are the better option. The full policy is on the disclosure page.

Who writes this

Ana Mathew — Lead reviewer. Ana has tested consumer hardware since 2016 and runs the lab bench. She buys every unit she writes about and keeps the receipts on file.

Ravi Deshpande — Contributing editor. Ravi writes about travel gear and everyday carry. He has spent most of the last four years testing bags by living out of them.
